EAPA-SA is registered as a Non Profit Company in terms of Section 21 of the Companies Act of 2008 with two employees and a Board consisting of unsalaried elected members and Chapter representatives that serve in guardianship and oversight role as follows:

EAPA-SA Board:

 

President:  Mr Tinyiko Godfrey Chabalala

Tinyiko has been an elected Board member since 2007 and has served in various portfolios such as Governance, Standards and Ethics, Vice- President of EAPA-SA and currently President of the Association. He has been instrumental in the development and revision of EAPA-SA Standards, the Constitution, By-Laws and Ethics. He was awarded Board member of the year 2010 for his outstanding contribution during his tenure.

 

President-Elect:  Mrs Thiloshni Govender

Thiloshni has served EAPA-SA in the portfolios of Research, Conference and Finance before being elected in 2013 as President Elect. She has also been actively involved in the revision of EAPA-SA Standards adopted in 2010.

 

Immediate Past-President:  Mr Tshifiwa Mamaila

Tshifiwa is the EAPA-SA Immediate Past President.  He is a Board Member, and an EAPA International Board Director, and he was a member of the conference programme planning panel for the 2014 World EAP conference in Florida.

 

Chapter Development:  Dr Pravesh Bhoodram

Pravesh has served as an EAPA SA Board member since 1998 in various capacities: President, Conference Convener, Finance Chairperson and Strategic Planner. He became the first South African to receive a Special Recognition Award from EAPA International (Vancouver 2001) for his contribution to the profession in South Africa. He has served on the International Worklife Committee and was appointed on EAPA International Global task team in 2004.

 

Finance:  Mr Kelly Manzini

Kelly is a past President of EAPA SA (2007 -2009 and Board Member (2004 – 2009).  He has held the office of Finance Director from 2014 – 2017. He was honoured for leadership and professional excellence at the 15th Annual EAPA Gala Dinner in September 2013 and elected at the AGM to serve in the EAPA SA Board for 2013 – 2017.

 

Education:  Joe Masakane

Joe has been involved in the EAP field for the past 13 years and been a loyal member of the EAPA-SA. He served as the Free State Chapter Chairperson from 2009 to 2011, Conferencing and Events Convenor from 2011 to 2013 and currently holds the Education portfolio for the period 2013-2018.

 

Stakeholder Relations and Sponsorship:  Dr Marion Borcherds

In addition to her current portfolio Marion has being actively involved in the EAPA-Egoli Chapter both as a Committee member and as the Chairperson from 2010 to 2012. She has served two previous terms of office on the EAPA-SA Board and previously occupied the portfolio of Education which includes research and publications.

 

Marketing:   Mrs Radhi Vandayar

Radhi has been a part of EAPA South Africa for the last 11 years and has been a board member for the last 7 years. She currently occupies the Marketing portfolio having previously held the office of Conference Convenor.  Before that she was the Egoli Chairperson for two terms.

 

Conference Convenor:  Mrs Bernedette Roberson

Bernadette manages the EAPA-SA Conference and as part of the Conference Organising Committee (COC) plans, implements and monitors the annual EAPA SA Conference

 

Governance:  Mr Isaac Koto

Isaac facilitates the development, review, implementation and compliance with EAPA-SA’s, Bylaws, Constitution, Professional Code of Ethics and Standards with a view to ensuring that EAPA SA’s systems and processes are ethical, transparent and accountable to constituency.
