On Friday, 31 July 2026, the EAPA-SA Western Cape Chapter proudly hosted its Annual Summit under the inspiring theme, “Inclusive Futures.” The Summit brought together Employee Assistance Professionals, human capital leaders, organisational psychologists, wellness practitioners, academics, students and strategic partners for a day of meaningful dialogue, professional learning and collaboration focused on shaping healthier, more inclusive workplaces.
Designed to inspire action and strengthen professional practice, the Summit provided delegates with valuable opportunities to connect through purposeful networking, explore innovative strategies to enhance workplace wellness programmes, and engage in thought-provoking discussions on the evolving role of Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) in today’s dynamic work environment.
The programme featured an outstanding line-up of keynote presentations that explored the role of EAPs in transforming organisational health, the importance of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), belonging and psychological safety as organisational imperatives, and the growing need to embrace neurodiversity through functional inclusion in the workplace. These discussions reinforced that employee wellbeing is no longer a supportive function; it is a strategic driver of organisational performance, resilience and sustainable success.
Adding to the richness of the day were inspiring musical performances, an energising drumming session and an interactive panel discussion, all of which created moments of reflection, connection and shared learning. These experiences underscored the importance of fostering workplaces where every individual feels seen, heard, valued and empowered to contribute meaningfully.
The EAPA-SA Western Cape Chapter extends its sincere appreciation to our distinguished speakers, panellists, facilitators, service providers, sponsors, volunteers and every delegate whose enthusiasm, expertise and participation made the Summit an exceptional success.
Your collective commitment to advancing the Employee Assistance profession continues to strengthen organisational wellbeing across South Africa.
As we reflect on the conversations and connections made throughout the day, we are reminded that Inclusive Futures is more than a Summit theme—it is a shared commitment to creating workplaces that embrace diversity, cultivate belonging and prioritise psychological wellbeing for all.
Together, we are not simply imagining inclusive futures—we are building them through collaboration, innovation and purposeful leadership. The EAPA-SA Western Cape Chapter looks forward to continuing this journey with our members and stakeholders as we champion excellence in Employee Assistance and workplace wellbeing.
